History

Alpina was founded in 1945 by the Swiss Max Goggel Bazinger and Walter, who started their activities in Sopo Cundinamarca with the production of cheeses made by his own hands.

Full of optimism  Mr. Max Bazinger riding a chariot pulled by a horse when he went to pick up milk production of several farms. Meanwhile, Walter Goggel with a label containing the name ALPINA manuscript and green, set in one of the cheeses, bearing the logo of the company Alpina.

During 30 years they handled directly from the operation and distribution of their products, then a bank loan they managed to advance building a factory gradually moved forward in the 50s and 3,000 liters of milk per day were processed.

In 1995 the diversification and expansion of the company starts the  market at Ecuador and Venezuela, plus you get permission to export to the United States. In 2000 receives certification  ISSO 9001.

In 2008 the Alpina foundation is created, contributing to the country with  responsibility Corporate and becomes a sustainable business.

Currently  397,780,455 liters of milk annually, with 6 plants in Colombia and operations in Ecuador, Venezuela and the United States, and marketing their products in countries of Central America.


Now they are 70 years of producing high-quality foods, that have made the company the number one Colombian,  their contributions to national development in technology, progress and social responsibility are admirable.
